Japan 2023, with my family
Leaving on a jet plane 7/12/23 from SFO going to Tokyo Japan, with my son Dave, Julie and grandchildren Zach & Ally. It is almost 60 years since I lived here in the late 50’s and early 60’s with my family (father was in the Air Force). We lived in the Tokyo area at Johnson AFB and Tachikawa AFB. These bases are now closed and the only base remaining is Yokota which was very close to the others. My life was full of adventure back in those years and I’m eager to share some of those memories with my son and his family. I lived in Japan 4 years, completing the 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th grades here, oh the fond memories i have. Riding the bus to our hotel in Shinjiku. We walked alittle and found a small cafe for dinner. Then back to hotel and off to be at 8pm we were exhausted. But that means I’m up. At 4:30 am due to the 12 hour time difference. Oh well it’ll all all adjust in time. It’s 5:40 now think I’ll try laying back down for a few more minutes.
